๐Ÿ”Encryption

Vault contents are encrypted before they are stored in the cloud. You unlock them with your account credentials and your recovery key. Data in transit is protected with HTTPS.

๐Ÿ—Your recovery key

Keep your recovery key safe. If you lose it and forget your password, we may not be able to restore your encrypted data. Store it offline, and never share it with anyone, including Z Pass staff.

๐Ÿ‘คAccount protection

  • Turn on two-step verification on your Z Pass account and on important accounts such as email and banking.
  • Use a unique, strong password. The generator and Vault Health tools help you find weak or reused ones.
  • Keep your devices updated and free of malware.

โœ…Safe habits

  • Use a different password for every account.
  • Use email aliases to limit exposure when a service is breached.
  • Lock your devices and sign out on shared computers.
  • Download Z Pass only from the official downloads page.

๐ŸŽฃScams and phishing

Z Pass will never ask for your password, recovery key or 2FA code by message, email or phone call. Anyone who does is a scammer.

โš If you get a breach alert

  1. Change the password for the affected service immediately.
  2. Create a unique password for any other account that used the same one.
  3. Sign out of all active sessions and turn on 2FA.
  4. Watch for suspicious activity and phishing messages.
